3 Unexpected Ways To Set Your Thanksgiving Table

With Thanksgiving upon us and a crispness in the air, fall has most certainly arrived. Whether you have plans to host a large group or only a few, we'd love to inspire your table setting preparations as you plan for your gathering.

Casual Breakfast:

If you have guests staying overnight, breakfasts don't need to be quick and easy. A casual breakfast or brunch around the table is a lovely way to start the day. Tip: I set my table the night before so there's less to do in the morning and it gives me a chance to enjoy the decor for a little while :)

Formal Dinner:

A formal dinner is the most popular at Thanksgiving and we love the combination of succulents, eucalyptus and roses for this unconventional approach to dressing a table. Tip: Formal doesn't need to mean expensive. Mixing polished and sparkly pieces into your table scape adds a wonderful depth and dimension and the hint of glamour offers just the right amount of formality.

Playful Lunch:

Quirky plates are not only functional but conversational. I couldn't resist picking up these side plates at a general store in Laguna Beach this past summer. Add these unexpected elements for a lunch time gathering and your guests will not only enjoy the food and company around the table but your attention to detail and decor.

While we can't help with the food, we do hope these ideas have spurred on your own creativity in pulling together a fabulous dining experience. Happy Thanksgiving!
