Merry Christmas from Nyla Free Designs

Inspired by a wreath on the cover of a Martha Stewart Living magazine from years ago, we implemented this design initially for our Christmas card. (See Brianna from our office create the sketch on our time lapse below.) One thing led to another and we found ourselves recreating this wreath for client gifts.

Concept to completion is a focus of ours within our interior design projects and certainly extends through to things such as Christmas cards and gifting. As you may know, I love gift wrapping. For me it’s part of the gift itself and I love the creative outlet with paper, ribbon and adornments. I get a great deal of joy wrapping presents.

The Martha Stewart Living cover (above left) we were inspired by, and a close up of one of our finished wreaths (right as well as below).

Above, we had an impromptu photoshoot with one of our wreaths near a forested area outside of Calgary on our way to a client installation in December. The scenery couldn’t have been more perfect. We love how this image turned out!!

The final outcome of our Christmas card. Cute right?!

The overall vibe and feel of our Christmas gifting this year was filled with natural craft paper, black accents, live greens and white fluffy pom poms.
